Thunder Up! We’re More Than Fans!

As the Oklahoma City Thunder tip off another exciting season, Freedom City is joining fans across the country in cheering on our hometown team. Our After-School students showed their Thunder spirit by coloring team-themed pages and creating a special video to wish the team good luck this season!

But our connection to the Thunder goes beyond cheering from the sidelines. Through the Thunder’s Community Partner Program, some of our students and families had the opportunity to attend a game and experience the excitement in person. Freedom City is also proud to receive support from the NBA Foundation for our college and career readiness programming.

These partnerships help us provide experiences and opportunities that might otherwise be out of reach for the students and families we serve. We’re grateful to the Thunder and the NBA Foundation for investing in our community and helping us open doors for the next generation.

Good luck this season, Thunder! We’ll be cheering you on as fans and as partners in building brighter futures for our students.
